Got some good productive work done on the nutrition front today! I baked 4 loaves of whole wheat sourdough bread,

I got the batch of buttermilk I started yesterday into the fridge, I’ll use some of that to get a batch of crackers soaking to bake tomorrow. Yesterday I made whey and used the cream cheese to begin a batch of NT’s Cream Cheese Breakfast Pastries. These little gems are so good I always look forward to running out of whey so I have the chance to make more and give me an excuse to make these again.

The first time I made these they were a big flop. They spread out way too thin and didn’t taste all that great. I didn’t want to waste them so I put them in the freezer. A couple of months later I got around to eating one, WOW! The taste was totally different! It was SO GOOD! I later noticed even the book mentions to leave them in the freezer a while before eating them, duh. The next time I tried them I used a stoneware pan, this solved the spreading issue and they stayed nice and thick.

Mmmmmmm I can’t wait to have one! I also got the tea on for a fresh batch of kombucha! I had neglected my kombucha for several months now, I was so afraid that it would be dead but it was just fine. BEAUTIFULLY tart and the scoby was enormous! At LEAST 5 inches thick! It was so big I couldn’t get it through the opening of the jar! I had to cut a chunk off with a knife! I’ll use the chuck as the starter for this batch and I’m going to start brewing with the continuous brewing method, it’s supposed to be even better for you then. Ahhhhh it feels good to be back in the saddle!
It will be time to eat in a few minutes, I’m going to have steamed rice and chicken teriyaki (and maybe a pastry
) for supper tonight I’m making salmon loaf, mashed potatoes and green beans! Yummy!

I cannot log in to your main blog (maybe I need to register somewhere? don’t know) but I wanted to say this:
I am very sorry that some people tried to put you in a box and label you a sinner for something they don’t understand. I haven’t read the original post, just your reaction to it and I wanted to tell you that…I always loved your blog. I did not agree with some of your ideas, but hey that’s life, however I really liked the calm, warm attitude that you had.
I wish you the best of luck and happiness along your way.
Dance to your own drum. Dance happily. Never mind those that only know to critizise.
I have the new blog set that only people with Blogger accounts can post comments, cuts way down on the spam that way. Some people’s maturity level drop dramatically when they can post comments anonymously LOL
Ah, very wise.
I don’t want a blog myself, but I’d register for you, if you ever opened a new one.
Keep it up!
